The non-profit organization VisionGift supports corneal transplantation and eye research. Because donated tissue must be stored and processed under strictly controlled conditions, reliable and continuous environmental monitoring is essential.
Since 2011, VisionGift has used the Vaisala viewLinc Continuous Monitoring System to monitor storage and processing areas as well as ISO Class 5 and ISO Class 7 cleanrooms. Automated reports and alarms help ensure that required limits are maintained and regulatory requirements are properly documented.
The system proved especially valuable during a power outage. Thanks to integrated power and internal data storage, environmental records remained available, allowing VisionGift to identify a freezer problem in time and protect the stored tissue.
