The PMT® 8306 Handheld Airborne Particle Counter
is a high-precision instrument with a flow rate of 0.1 CFM (2.83 LPM) and a measurement range of 0.3 to 25.0 μm. Featuring the industry’s highest concentration limit of 15,000,000 particles/ft³ at 10% coincidence loss, it is ideal for research, industrial safety, indoor air quality, and cleanroom applications.
The device supports up to 10 hours of continuous operation with a powerful lithium-ion battery and introduces the industry’s first sleep and energy-saving mode with intelligent battery management. Its comprehensive self-diagnostics ensure maximum reliability.
With a large color touchscreen display, the device can display up to 6 channels simultaneously along with temperature and humidity data. Thanks to visual and audible real-time alarms, contamination sources are detected immediately. The Ethernet, USB, and optional Wireless 802.11 b/g connectivity allow seamless integration into cloud- and building monitoring systems.

It is factory-calibrated at 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 5.0, and 10.0 μm and supports up to 6 simultaneous data channels. The device can detect up to 15,000,000 particles/ft³ at 10% coincidence loss, ensuring accurate results according to international standards.
It is powered by a long-life lithium-ion battery that provides more than 10 hours of continuous operation. A 4.3″ color touchscreen display (WQVGA 480×272) enables user-friendly operation. The internal memory stores up to 45,000 records, 1,000 sample locations, and 50 recipes.
For data transfer, Ethernet and USB interfaces are standard, with optional Wireless 802.11 b/g available. The instrument complies with ISO 21501-4, JIS B9921, ISO 14644-1, EU GMP Annex 1, and FS 209E. With its durable plastic housing, compact dimensions of 13.0 × 10.8 × 31.1 cm, and a weight of only 1.0 kg, it is highly portable. The warranty period is 5 years, with 1 year coverage on the vacuum pump.
