Loop Calibration – Reliable Measurements Without Process Interruptions
In cleanrooms, dry rooms, and regulated production environments, accurate measurements are essential for product quality and compliance...
Reduce the risk of environmental conditions exceeding or falling below specified tolerance limits while ensuring auditability and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical and biotechnology cleanrooms.
With our high-performance measurement instruments and long-term stable solutions, we help you maintain reliable operating conditions and ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of your cleanroom facilities.
Cleanrooms must maintain a constant positive pressure relative to adjacent areas to prevent the ingress of contaminated air. This requirement is defined in ISO 14644-4, and even small pressure deviations of just a few pascals can significantly degrade air quality. Our high-precision pressure sensors enable the accurate measurement of very low differential pressures, exactly as required for cleanroom applications.
As semiconductor structures continue to shrink to single-digit nanometer dimensions, monitoring airborne particle contamination in the submicron range becomes critical to achieving high production yields. Improve your manufacturing processes by monitoring submicron and nanoparticle concentrations with our industry-leading particle counters, ensuring process stability and product quality.
A stable air pressure is essential to prevent contamination in cleanrooms and hygienic environments. Controlled positive or negative pressure directs airflow and supports effective air filtration. In pharmaceutical, food, and semiconductor applications, this is a key requirement for compliant processes. High-precision pressure transmitters ensure reliable monitoring, stable pressure conditions, and compliance with strict hygiene standards—protecting both people and products.
Learn more about the Vaisala viewLinc continuous monitoring system, designed specifically for regulated and critical cleanroom environments.
The Vaisala CAB100 is a compact industrial control cabinet that seamlessly integrates Vaisala data loggers and transmitters into the viewLinc system. The cabinets can be preconfigured to meet cleanroom requirements and can include safety barriers if required. Measured parameters include humidity, temperature, differential pressure, and more.
“Based on my previous experience with cleanroom monitoring systems, I estimate that most systems would require about four times the space of the Vaisala CAB100. Its small footprint and preconfigured design make it extremely practical.”
Dan Gabrault, LSNE Plant Engineer
Cleanrooms and other critical environments require high-performance environmental measurements to ensure stable operation within defined specifications. Humidity and temperature measurement in cleanroom applications presents particular challenges due to strict regulatory and process requirements.
Vaisala’s high-precision instruments and robust measurement solutions are designed to meet these demands and support reliable, uninterrupted cleanroom operations. We assist your cleanroom processes with state-of-the-art measurement technology, expert consulting, and a comprehensive portfolio of services. Our solutions enable the measurement, monitoring, and logging of humidity, dew point, temperature, pressure, and additional parameters.
The precise differential pressure transmitters of the P 26.2 and P 34 series meet the highest demands on measurement accuracy and stability even in small pressure ranges. This allows the pressure cascades in cleanrooms or in clean production zones, for example, to be continuously monitored - for consistently high production quality and reliable personal protection. Thanks to the inductive measuring principle, excellent long-term stability and optimal temperature behavior are guaranteed. The slightest pressure deviations are detected immediately. In combination with active pressure transmitters, the pressure transmitters can also be used for volume flow measurement.
In pharmaceutical filling lines and sterilization tunnels, reliable airflow monitoring is essential for safe sterilization processes. Höntzsch flow sensors accurately measure even low air velocities of up to 1 m/s.
The sensors are used throughout the sterilization tunnel – from preheating and sterilization/depyrogenation to cooling. Particularly in the heating zone, they reliably withstand extreme temperatures of over 300 °C.
This enables continuous airflow monitoring and reliable process control, helping to ensure safe and controlled sterilization in pharmaceutical production.
Reliable particle monitoring is an essential part of cleanroom control. Optical light-scattering particle counters determine the number and size of particles in gaseous media such as air, as well as in liquids. Depending on the application, stationary, portable or mobile particle counters can be used.
For continuous and comprehensive monitoring, particle counters can be integrated into a cleanroom monitoring system. In addition to particle concentration, other important environmental parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, differential pressure and air velocity can also be monitored. Central monitoring software enables clear visualization, documentation and evaluation of the collected measurement data.
Particle measurement is used wherever controlled and clean production conditions are essential – for example in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, medical technology and other sensitive production environments.
The appropriate measurement solution is tailored to the specific application and cleanroom requirements. Particular attention is paid to compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including EU GMP Annex 1, ISO 14644-1 and ISO 21501-4.
