The Accubalance® Air Capture Hood Model 8380
is a versatile electronic device designed for the measurement of supply and exhaust airflows at diffusers and grilles. The removable digital micromanometer increases flexibility, allowing the unit to be used with optional probes for additional applications.
Thanks to its ergonomic design and lightweight construction, the 8380 can be operated by a single person. It provides automatic display of airflow measurements, saving both time and cost. With the LogDat™ Mobile App and Data Logger Software, results can be easily documented and sent via email.

The VelociCalc® 8380 measures air velocity with a pitot probe from 0.125 to 78 m/s, with an airflow probe from 0.125 to 25 m/s, and with a velocity matrix up to 12.5 m/s, offering an accuracy of ±3 % of reading or ±0.04 m/s.
Differential pressure is measured up to ±3735 Pa (3.75 kPa), while absolute pressure from 356 to 1016 mm Hg can be recorded, with an accuracy of ±2 %.
The unit enables air volume measurements from 42 to 4250 m³/h with an accuracy of ±3 % or ±12 m³/h.
Integrated temperature sensors cover a range from 4.4 to 60 °C, while optional temperature and humidity probes allow extended measurements between -40 and 121 °C. The humidity range is 5 to 95 % RH with an accuracy of ±3 % RH.
The device includes a data storage capacity of 26,500 measurements with timestamping and a user-selectable logging interval.
The micromanometer measures 18.8 × 11.4 × 5.8 cm and weighs 0.5 kg, while the hood weighs 3.4 kg.
Power supply is provided by four AA batteries or the included AC adapter.
