The PMT® Dual-Mode High Pressure Diffuser (DHPD) is a specialized sampling device designed for demanding industries such as pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, cosmetics, and medical environments, where strict quality and safety standards are required.
A key feature of the DHPD is its two operating modes, allowing flexible and precise gas sampling depending on application needs.
In Mode 1 (sampling before decompression), the diffuser operates at a flow rate of 10–100 L/min under pressure with an accuracy of ±4%. The sampling volume can be adjusted from 20 to 9999 liters, providing maximum adaptability. The high-pressure sampling head has a diameter of 140 mm and a height of 230 mm, with a weight of 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs). It is compatible with Petri dishes (Ø 90–100 mm).
In Mode 2 (sampling after decompression), the device operates at a flow rate of ≥ 2 L/min at atmospheric pressure, enabling precise and versatile sampling under standard conditions.

The diffuser supports two sampling modes for flexible operation:
- Mode 1: 10–100 L/min under pressure, ±4% accuracy, adjustable 20–9999 L sampling volume
- Mode 2: ≥ 2 L/min at atmospheric pressure

The device is suitable for various gases, including air, nitrogen (N₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), oxygen (O₂), argon (Ar), and other inert gases.
It is approved for use only in non-flammable and non-explosive environments, ensuring safe operation under controlled conditions.
