The Thermal Probe TA10/15 Ex-d ATEX is a thermal flow sensor in probe design with an integrated UTA transmitter in an Ex-d housing, developed for precise gas flow measurement in hazardous areas.
With a shaft diameter of 10 or 15 mm, the probe is suitable for installation in pipelines with an inner diameter of 40 mm or larger.
Made of robust stainless steel, it offers high durability and resistance, making it ideal for compressed air and gas applications.
It enables measurement of standard velocity, standard volumetric flow, mass flow, as well as total volume and mass, ensuring comprehensive process monitoring.
Typical applications include air and gas velocity measurement, consumption monitoring, leak detection, laminar flow in cleanrooms, exhaust air systems, burner supply air, HVAC applications, and rough vacuum conditions (>200 hPa).

The probe is designed for pressures up to 16 bar (1.6 MPa overpressure), making it suitable for industrial high-pressure applications.
The temperature range is −10 to +140 °C, allowing operation under various process conditions.
It supports various gases such as air, nitrogen, methane, natural gas, argon, CO₂, and helium, ensuring high flexibility.
The IP68-rated housing ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
The device is ATEX certified (Category 1/2G and 1/2D – Zone 0/1 and 20/21), ensuring maximum safety in explosive atmospheres.
Available outputs include 4–20 mA (flow proportional), pulse/limit signals, and HART communication, enabling flexible integration and configuration.
