The Vortex Probe VA40 ZG4 is a high-performance vortex flow probe with a 40 mm probe head diagonal, designed for accurate measurement of flow velocity and volumetric flow.

Thanks to materials such as stainless steel, Hastelloy, or titanium, it offers excellent resistance to corrosive media and is ideal for industrial applications.

The probe is available in various lengths (250–2000 mm) and can be installed using threaded or flange process connections, ensuring flexible integration.

An optional integrated Pt100 temperature sensor allows for combined flow and temperature measurement.

It is suitable for clean gases as well as gases containing condensate and particles, and can be used with either an integrated UVA transmitter or external system devices.

Tehnične specifikacije

The measurement range is 0.5 to 40 m/s (optional up to 60 or 80 m/s), covering a wide range of applications.

The probe is designed for pressures up to 3 bar (300 kPa overpressure), making it suitable for industrial processes.

The temperature range is −20 to +100 °C, +180 °C, or +240 °C, allowing operation under various conditions.

It measures flow velocity, flow rate, and volume, and optionally temperature, enabling comprehensive process monitoring.

The IP65-rated connection housing ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.

Optional ATEX certifications are available:

  • With integrated UVA: Category 3G and 3D (Zone 2 and 22)
  • Without integrated UVA: Category 1/2G and 1/2D (Zone 0/1 and 20/21)

Configuration is performed via an RS232 interface and UCOM software, allowing easy setup and adjustment.

Available outputs include v/VA and vt/VAT, with an additional analog pulse output (with integrated UVA).
