The Kurz 454FTB-WGF is the first thermal mass flow meter specifically designed for use in wet gas, condensation gas, and biogas applications. Its patented design processes the dry flow signal independently from moisture effects within the process gas stream, ensuring highly reliable and accurate flow measurement even in challenging environments.

The flow meter is ideal for applications in digesters, landfills, animal feed facilities, wet scrubbers, and mining operations.

Thanks to its robust construction and advanced sensor technology, the Kurz 454FTB-WGF delivers stable measurement performance even under difficult process conditions involving high humidity or condensation.

The device also provides fast response times to changes in flow velocity and process temperature, making it highly suitable for industrial gas monitoring and process control applications.

The Kurz 454FTB-WGF supports flow velocity ranges of 0 to 4,000 SFPM (18.6 NMPS) for air, 0 to 3,000 SFPM (14 NMPS) for 50/50 biogas, and 0 to 2,000 SFPM (9.3 NMPS) for methane (CH4).

Higher flow velocities are also available, although with reduced condensation resistance.

Flow accuracy under laboratory conditions is rated at ±(1% of reading + 20 SFPM).

The reading frequency is 0.25%.

The velocity time constant is 1.5 seconds for velocity changes at 4,000 SFPM under constant temperature conditions.

The process temperature time constant is 10 seconds for temperature changes at 1,000 SFPM under constant velocity conditions.

The electronics with integrated display operate within a temperature range of −25 °C to +65 °C.

The remote aluminum display is designed for temperatures from −40 °C to +65 °C.

The remote polycarbonate display operates within a temperature range of −25 °C to +50 °C.
