The Vaisala GMP252 is an intelligent CO₂ measurement probe designed for use in agriculture, greenhouses, refrigeration systems, and demanding HVAC applications. It is ideal for harsh and humid environments where stable and accurate ppm-level CO₂ measurements are required.
With an operating temperature range of −40 to +60 °C and a measurement range of 0 to 10,000 ppm CO₂(extendable up to 30,000 ppm with reduced accuracy), the probe offers high flexibility across various applications.
For outdoor measurements, the GMP252 can be used with the Vaisala radiation shield DTR250, enabling dynamic CO₂ monitoring in ambient conditions.
As part of the Indigo product family, the probe can be connected to Indigo500 and Indigo200 transmitters to expand functionality, such as adding a display or relay outputs. It is also compatible with the Insight PC software for easy configuration, diagnostics, and calibration.

The probe measures CO₂ in a range of 0 to 10,000 ppm, with the ability to measure up to 30,000 ppm at reduced accuracy, making it suitable for low to medium concentration environments.
It features both analog outputs (V, mA) and digital communication via RS-485, supporting Vaisala protocol and Modbus, ensuring flexible system integration.
The second-generation CARBOCAP™ technology provides excellent long-term stability and measurement reliability.
With a wide operating temperature range of −40 to +60 °C and a robust IP65-rated housing, the probe is built for challenging environmental conditions.
The device includes full temperature and pressure compensation, supported by an integrated temperature measurement, ensuring accurate readings under varying conditions.
Additional compensation for background gases such as oxygen (O₂) and humidity further enhances measurement accuracy.
A heated sensor head prevents condensation, ensuring stable performance in high-humidity environments.
