GMW90 Series – Carbon Dioxide, Temperature and Humidity Transmitters for HVAC
The Vaisala CARBOCAP® GMW90 series is designed for demand-controlled ventilation and HVAC applications. It measures carbon dioxide and temperature, with an option for humidity measurement. Models are available with either a display opening or a solid front cover, and an optional traffic light indication for CO₂ levels.
With the latest-generation CARBOCAP® sensor, the GMW90 series provides outstanding long-term stability and reliability. The innovative Microglow infrared source ensures accurate CO₂, temperature, and humidity measurements while keeping power consumption and self-heating to a minimum.
The transmitters are engineered for quick installation and easy maintenance. Electronics can be mounted later on the pre-installed backplate, protecting the sensors during construction. Configuration and maintenance are straightforward with DIP switches and easily accessible service interfaces.
The user-exchangeable measurement modules allow fast on-site calibration or replacement with pre-calibrated modules from the factory. Each unit is delivered with a traceable 3-point CO₂ calibration certificate.

The GMW90 series measures CO₂, temperature, and optionally humidity, providing high stability and accuracy. Each transmitter comes with a traceable 3-point CO₂ calibration certificate.
The CARBOCAP® MEMS technology with continuous reference measurement ensures reliable readings and extends calibration intervals up to five years. The Microglow infrared source consumes very little power and minimizes self-heating, allowing precise measurement of humidity and temperature.
The transmitters provide analog outputs and Modbus RTU communication. Installation is simple, as the units can be wired with the backplate only, and the electronics can be snapped on later. DIP switches allow quick configuration.
Calibration can be done easily using exchangeable measurement modules, a handheld meter, or reference gas. The closed housing during calibration ensures stable conditions and accurate results.
