The KATflow 170 is a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter specifically designed for use in hazardous environments (Zone 1 and Zone 2). With ATEX, IECEx, and EAC-Ex certifications, it is ideally suited for demanding industrial applications, such as in the oil & gas industry or wastewater monitoring.
The device combines corrosion-resistant enclosures made of epoxy-coated aluminum or stainless steel with IP68-rated stainless steel sensors, which are protected by robust cable conduits. Operation is performed safely and conveniently via a magnetic pen and glass-front keypad, ensuring maximum safety and reliability in explosive environments.

Available process outputs include current output, open collector, and relay, with optional current inputs for pressure, temperature, and density compensation.
An Ex-certified Pt100 sensor is available for accurate temperature compensation.
