The Vaisala OPT100 Optimus™ DGA Monitor is a high-performance online monitoring system designed for power transformers in critical environments. It provides advanced dissolved gas analysis (DGA) with maintenance-free operation and no consumables. Thanks to auto-calibration and IR reference measurement, it ensures long-term stability and reliable data at all times. The innovative vacuum gas extraction eliminates fluctuations caused by oil temperature or pressure, delivering highly accurate results even under extreme conditions. The OPT100 offers maintenance-free operation without consumables, reducing operational costs and effort. It enables quick installation in less than two hours, ensuring minimal downtime. With auto-calibration and IR reference technology, it guarantees long-term measurement stability. The system can detect air leaks without additional oxygen sensors, enhancing reliability. Its browser-based user interface allows easy access without extra software. The robust mechanical design ensures reliable operation in harsh and extreme environments, while effectively preventing false alarms.

The OPT100 measures key fault gases including methane, ethane, ethylene, acetylene, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen within a range of 0 to 10,000 ppmv (H₂ up to 5,000 ppmv). Measurement accuracy is ±4–15 ppm or ±5–10% of reading, depending on the gas. It also performs direct moisture measurement in oil with an accuracy of ±2 ppm or ±10%. The total gas pressure measurement covers 0 to 2000 hPa with an accuracy of ±10 hPa or ±2%.
A full measurement cycle takes 1 to 1.5 hours, with initial data available after two cycles and full accuracy achieved within two days. The system offers data storage for over 10 years and a lifetime exceeding 15 years. Power supply options include 100–240 VAC or 110–220 VDC, with a typical consumption of 100 W and a maximum of 500 W.
For connectivity, the device supports RS-485 (Modbus RTU, optional DNP3) and Ethernet (Modbus TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, optional IEC 61850), along with three relay outputs. The enclosure is made of marine-grade aluminum, with a stainless steel (AISI 316) power unit, and installation is performed using Swagelok stainless steel fittings.
