The PMT® 8503 Handheld Particle Counter is a compact and high-precision device designed for measuring airborne particles in the range of 0.5 to 25.0 µm at a constant flow rate of 0.1 CFM (2.83 L/min). It is specifically developed for mobile applications and spot contamination measurements, making it ideal for use in cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled production environments.
The device features easy configuration and supports up to 3 user-selectable particle size channels. At the same time, it records environmental parameters such as temperature and relative humidity, enabling a comprehensive assessment of air quality.
Measurement results can be viewed directly on the display, printed, saved to a USB drive, or exported in real time, ensuring efficient data documentation and analysis.
A key advantage is the support for standardized reporting according to ISO 14644-1, EU GMP Annex 1, and FS 209E, making the device suitable for regulated environments. Additionally, it allows remote control and monitoring via a web browser, simplifying integration into existing quality assurance systems.
The integrated mass concentration mode (µg/m³) enables accurate estimation of particle density, while the pulse height analyzer ensures precise particle counting and compliance with industry standards.
