Product Description

The Vaisala GMW80 Series is a high-precision sensor for measuring carbon dioxide (CO₂), temperature, and humidity in buildings with demand-controlled ventilation.

It is based on the latest patented CARBOCAP® technology, which uses an integrated reference measurement to provide highly reliable and accurate results immediately after startup—without any long warm-up time.

The GMW80 series combines CO₂, temperature, and humidity measurement and optionally offers relay outputs and LED indicators, providing high flexibility for a wide range of applications.

For demanding environments, such as dusty or humid areas, the GMW87 and GMW88 models are available with a robust IP64-rated housing and cable gland.

Thanks to the energy-efficient CARBOCAP® technology, the sensors deliver long-term stable and reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements. The low self-heating ensures that temperature measurements remain accurate, further improving overall measurement precision. As a result, these sensors contribute significantly to cost savings in energy-efficient ventilation systems.

Technical Specification

The sensors measure CO₂, temperature, and relative humidity, making them ideal for building automation applications.

They utilize patented CARBOCAP® sensor technology, ensuring high stability, accuracy, and maintenance-free operation.

The devices provide accurate CO₂ readings immediately after power-up, without requiring a long stabilization period.

The Microglow infrared light source minimizes self-heating, improving the accuracy of temperature measurements.

Installation is quick and easy, thanks to a well-designed housing that allows mounting on standard flush-mounted boxes using pre-installed screws. Wiring is clearly labeled, and the electronics can be installed later during system commissioning.

Models GMW87 and GMW88 feature a robust IP64 housing, ensuring reliable operation in dusty or humid environments.

The sensors are designed for maintenance-free operation for up to 15 years, providing long-term reliability and cost efficiency.
