HMS110 - Humidity and Temperature Transmitter

Product Description

The Vaisala HUMICAP® HMS110 series was specifically developed for precise outdoor measurement of relative humidity and temperature in building automation systems. The transmitter offers an accuracy of ±2 %RH and features an integrated radiation shield that significantly reduces measurement errors caused by solar radiation.

The devices use the proven HUMICAP® 180R sensor, which is known for its high long-term stability and reliability. This ensures consistently accurate measurements with minimal maintenance requirements, even in demanding environments with high humidity.

The robust IP65-rated housing provides reliable protection against dust and moisture. Installation is simple, as the device can be mounted directly on walls or poles without additional accessories. For calibration and configuration, users can utilize the Vaisala HM70 handheld meter or the Vaisala Insight PC software. Each transmitter is delivered with a traceable 3-point calibration certificate to ensure measurement accuracy.

The HMS110 series measures relative humidity from 0 to 100 %RH as well as temperature. By default, the device outputs relative humidity and temperature. Additional parameters such as dew point temperature, wet-bulb temperature, and enthalpy can be selected via a PC connection.

In addition to a 4…20 mA analog output, the transmitters feature a digital Modbus RTU interface for easy integration into building automation systems. The devices also support on-site calibration, either with the HM70 or via a PC connection.

Technical Specification

The HMS110 series measures relative humidity from 0 to 100 %RH with an accuracy of ±2 %RH. Temperature is also measured precisely and provided as a standard output together with humidity.

The device is equipped with a HUMICAP® 180R sensor, ensuring high measurement stability and long service life. The IP65-rated enclosure ensures reliable operation in outdoor environments.

For signal transmission, the device provides a 4…20 mA analog output and a Modbus RTU interface. Additional calculated parameters such as dew point, wet-bulb temperature, and enthalpy can be configured via software.

Calibration can be performed using the Vaisala HM70 handheld device or the Vaisala Insight software. Each transmitter is supplied with a traceable 3-point calibration certificate.
