The Vaisala HMDW80 series includes versatile humidity and temperature transmitters for wall, duct, and outdoor installation. They are specifically designed for building automation applications and offer easy installation, reliable operation, and low maintenance requirements.
The series allows simple field configuration and provides additional calculated parameters such as dew point, enthalpy, and wet-bulb temperature alongside relative humidity. For different environments, the series offers IP65-rated transmitters for humid areas, outdoor sensors with radiation shields, and temperature-only transmitters. Versions with an optional integrated display are also available.
The devices are highly flexible: duct transmitters fit a wide range of duct sizes, outdoor transmitters can be mounted directly on walls or poles without additional accessories, and wall-mounted units can be installed without drilling holes into the transmitter housing. Typical installation locations include ventilation ducts, walls, wash-down areas, and outdoor environments.
Available models include TMW82, TMW83, HMW82, HMW83, HMW88, HMW89, HMD82, HMD83, HMS82, and HMS83.
Technical Specification
The transmitters measure relative humidity in the full range of 0 to 100 %RH with an accuracy of ±3 %RH. Temperature is also measured accurately and, depending on the model, can be provided as a standalone measurement.
The series includes wall-mounted temperature transmitters (TMW82 / TMW83) as well as standard humidity and temperature transmitters (HMW82 / HMW83). For demanding environments, IP65-rated wall transmitters (HMW88 / HMW89) with optional display are available.
For HVAC applications, there are duct-mounted humidity and temperature transmitters (HMD82 / HMD83) with or without display. For outdoor environments, outdoor transmitters (HMS82 / HMS83) with radiation shields are available.
The devices are designed for installation in ventilation ducts, technical rooms, humid environments, and outdoor areas, ensuring high operational reliability with minimal maintenance.
