Product Description

The Vortex Probe VA40/42 ZG2 is a versatile vortex probe with a 40 mm probe head and connection cable, designed for accurate measurement of flow velocity and volumetric flow in gases.

Made from stainless steel, Hastelloy, or titanium, it offers high resistance to demanding environments and is ideal for industrial applications.

The probe is extendable with extension rods (Ø 42 mm), allowing flexible use in different installation depths and applications.

It is suitable for stationary and portable measurements in clean as well as particle- and condensate-laden gases, ensuring reliable performance under various process conditions.

An optional integrated Pt100 temperature sensor enables combined flow and temperature measurement.

Technical Specification

The measurement range is 0.5 to 40 m/s (optional up to 60 or 80 m/s), covering a wide range of applications.

The probe is designed for pressures up to 3 bar (300 kPa), making it suitable for industrial processes.

The temperature range is −20 to +100 °C, +180 °C, or +240 °C, allowing operation under various environmental conditions.

It measures flow velocity and volumetric flow, and optionally temperature, enabling comprehensive process monitoring.

The IP65 protection rating ensures reliable operation even in harsh environments.

An optional ATEX certification (Category 2G, Zone 1) is available for hazardous areas.

Available outputs include v/VA and v/VAT, enabling flexible integration into measurement systems.
