Product Description

The Thermal Probe TA10 ZG1B is a high-precision thermal probe designed for stationary and portable measurement of flow velocity, volumetric flow, and mass flow.

It is suitable for various gases such as compressed air, nitrogen, methane, natural gas, argon, carbon dioxide, and helium, making it ideal for industrial and HVAC applications.

The probe enables accurate measurement of standard velocity, standard volumetric flow, mass flow, and totalized values, ensuring comprehensive process monitoring.

Typical applications include compressed air and gas consumption measurement, leak detection, laminar flow monitoring in cleanrooms, exhaust air systems, burner supply air, and vacuum applications above 200 hPa.

Technical Specification

The measurement range is 0.2 to 200 m/s, allowing precise detection of both low and high flow velocities.

The probe is designed for pressures up to 16 bar (1.6 MPa relative), making it suitable for industrial high-pressure applications.

The temperature range is −10 to +140 °C, enabling operation under various process conditions.

It supports air and multiple gases, providing high flexibility across applications.

The IP65 protection rating (cable entry) ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.

Optional ATEX certifications are available:

  • With U10b: Category 3G and 3D (Zone 2 and 22)
  • With flowtherm Ex: Category 2G (Zone 1)

The probe can be connected to devices such as flowtherm NT, flowtherm Ex, or U10b transmitters, enabling flexible integration into measurement systems.
