Product Description
The thermal measuring tube TA Di with integrated UTA transmitter in an Ex-d enclosure is designed for reliable gas flow measurement in hazardous areas. It is available with inner diameters of 16 to 41.8 mm and is built with a durable stainless steel probe.
The device is ideal for the stationary measurement of standard volumetric flow, mass flow, total volume, and flow velocity in clean, dry, and particle-free gases. Thanks to its ATEX approval for Category 1/2G and 1/2D (Zone 0/1 and 20/21), it is suitable for use in high-risk explosion environments.
Signal processing is handled directly via the integrated UTA transmitter, while configuration is carried out using HART communication with a modem adapter and UCOM software.
Technical Specification
The device offers a measuring range of 2.4 to 12,350 l/min or 0.15 to 741 m³/h and operates under pressures up to 16 bar / 1.6 MPa. It supports media temperatures from -10 to +140 °C and is compatible with gases such as air, nitrogen, oxygen, methane, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
It measures standard volumetric flow, totalized volume, and flow velocity, providing accurate monitoring for industrial processes. The robust housing features an IP68 protection rating, ensuring maximum resistance to dust and water ingress.
For output, the device includes a 4–20 mA analog signal (flow proportional), a relay for pulse or limit value, and HART communication for configuration and data access.
