Product Description
The ZS30 ZG4 Vane Probe is a cylindrical vane probe (insertion sensor) with a probe diameter of 30 mm and an optional integrated UFA transmitter in the connection housing.
Made of robust stainless steel, the probe is suitable for stationary measurement of flow velocity and volumetric flowin gases and liquids. It can also be used temporarily in contaminated media.
A key advantage is its low starting threshold of only 0.3 m/s, enabling reliable measurement of very low flow velocities.
With a temperature resistance up to +350 °C, the probe is ideal for demanding industrial applications. Signal processing can be performed using the integrated or external UFA transmitter, as well as systems such as flowtherm NT or flowtherm Ex.
Technical Specification
The measurement range is 0.3 to 3 m/s in air and gases and 0.03 to 3 m/s in water and liquids, making it especially suitable for low flow applications.
The probe is designed for pressures up to 6 bar (600 kPa overpressure), making it suitable for industrial processes.
The medium temperature range is −40 to +350 °C, allowing operation under various environmental conditions.
It measures flow velocity, flow rate, and volume, enabling comprehensive process monitoring.
The connection housing is rated IP65, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.
Optional explosion protection (Ex) is available:
- With integrated UFA: ATEX Category 3G and 3D (Zone 2 and 22)
- Without integrated UFA: ATEX Category 2G (Zone 1)
Available sensor outputs include analog output (4–20 mA), limit value, pulse output, and RS232 interface (with integrated UFA), enabling flexible system integration.
